Graphics Card Not Recognised on a High-Performance Gaming PC

A customer brought in a powerful gaming PC to our Green Laptops & Repair Service after noticing that the graphics card was not being recognised. Despite the system being high-end, games were not running as expected and performance was clearly reduced.

Common issues that can cause a graphics card not to be recognised include the card not being seated correctly in the motherboard, power cables not being fully connected, outdated or corrupted drivers, BIOS settings not detecting the card, operating system conflicts, or a faulty graphics card or PCIe slot (this was the case in our customer’s case). In some cases, recent system updates or incorrect configuration can also prevent the graphics card from being detected properly.

We look forward hearing from you.
